The II International Contest of Pop Song Performers “ALMATYM JÚREGIMDE – 2023” was held in Almaty on September 15-16. The organizer of the contest is Almaty City Akimat.
The main purpose of the contest is promoting the brand of Almaty – the birthplace of apples and one of the centers of creative industry of Kazakhstan, identifying and supporting creatively gifted, talented youth of Kazakhstan and the participating countries, developing and strengthening international cultural ties, exchange of spiritual and cultural values.
The contest was attended by 15 performers aged from 20 to 35 years from 11 countries of the world, who have experience of concert performances at major venues and have already declared themselves successful in national and international music competitions and festivals.
On the first day of the competition the participants performed popular hits of their country. On the second day of the competition famous songs of Kazakh composers and Kazakh folk songs were performed accompanied by the AL Jazz Symphony orchestra under the direction of the Honored Figure of Kazakhstan Alexander Belyakov.
During two competition days the performances of the contestants were evaluated by members of the international jury. Among them are recognized maestros of pop music, famous musicians, creative figures, producers.

- Gleb Lapitsky, Belarus – General Director of the Cultural Center “Vitebsk”, Director of the International Arts Festival “Slavyanski Bazar in Vitebsk”.
- Eteri Beriashvili, Georgia – singer, teacher of the pop-jazz singing department of the Moscow State Institute of Culture, teacher of the Larisa Dolina Music Academy.
- Erhan Bayrak, Turkey – music producer, arranger, composer, conductor of a pop music orchestra, founder of Bayrak Records music production company.
- Sahaya, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) – Honored Artist of the Republic of Sakha, laureate of International competitions, soloist of the Variety Theater of the Republic of Sakha.
- Timur Khatsaev, Russia – Russian music producer, director, founder and general director of the Kavkaz Music Fest music festival of the nations of the Caucasus, Honored Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia, Honored Artist of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic.
