Minogue joined star-studded list of performers including Jennifer Hudson, Chloë Bailey, T-Pain and Billy Porter who performed at the annual event
Kylie Minogue shined at the very rainy 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, performing “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head,” “Slow,” and “Padam Padam.”
This wasn’t Minogue’s first time playing the parade; she last performed at the annual event in 2010, when she played her single “Get Outta My Way” off her 2010 album Aphrodite.
On Wednesday, Minogue posted a video of her and her dancers rehearsing outside Macy’s for the Thanksgiving show.
Riding her hot streak that started after the blowup of her hit single “Padam Padam” last year, Minogue headed into the parade in promo mode for her recently released album Tension II. She’ll be taking the album out on the road next year for the Tension Tour, starting next March in Toronto before playing much of the U.S. and wrapping the tour in Los Angeles in May. She also wrapped a critically acclaimed residency in Las Vegas earlier this year.
“I can’t wait to share beautiful and wild moments with fans all over the world, celebrating the Tension era and more,” Minogue said back in September when she announced the tour. “It’s been an exhilarating ride so far and now, get ready for your close up because I will be calling Lights, Camera, Action … and there will be a whole lot of Padaming!”
Aside from Minogue, this year’s parade had a star-studded list of performers including T-Pain, Billy Porter, Jennifer Hudson, Chloë Bailey, Idina Menzel Dan + Shay among others.
“OK, that was full-on singing and dancing in the rain, but it was a lot of fun,” she said on her Instagram story following the performance. “Thanks for having me. I’m gonna go dry off.”
