After opening for Fletcher this fall, Maude Latour is ready for a tour run of her own. On Monday, the pop star, who released her album Sugar Water in August, announced that she's embarking on a headlining tour next March.
“Guys, I am so excited to bring you the real-life experience of this trippy, emotional, existential rollercoaster of an album,” Latour wrote on Instagram, alongside sharing an album trailer. “I'm putting my whole heart into this tour… I cannot even IMAGINE getting to sing these songs [in real life] with you.”
The run of shows will see her kick off the Sugar Water tour in San Francisco on March 5, before making her way to cities such as Salt Lake City, Denver, Chicago, Boston, and New York City. She'll perform in Alabama, Texas, and Arizona in late March before concluding her run in Los Angeles on April 2.
“It's going to be a party, a rave, a play, a holy space — I can't wait to see you there,” Latour teased.
Tickets for the shows will go on sale Friday, Nov. 22 at 10 am local time, although fans can access presale tickets Nov. 19 at 10 am local time.
Latour caught up with Rolling Stone as one of the magazine's Artists You Need to Know in September, where she revealed how a Leo Tolstoy fable about the inevitability of death inspired her album. “There's a sweetness to loss and tragedy and all the dark things in the world. Can you taste the sweetness while knowing that things end? That darkness exists?” asked Latour. “That's what stuck in my mind and explained so much of my heart and my music: It's trying to [be] as alive as fucking possible, even though life ends.”
