They didn't argue, they don't separate forever. Simply, as they had announced to Rolling Stone a year ago, they will dedicate themselves to individual projects for a while. «We will certainly take a break after this journey that has lasted four years. We have made three albums, the film, we need to breathe but we don't know what will happen with our careers alone, there is no specific project yet”, said Colapesce. And Dimartino: «We both write songs so maybe we'll make some solo records and then maybe we'll meet again, we don't know. Our relationship is truly based on “seeing, doing”».
Now Colapesce and Dimartino are ready to say goodbye. They do so with a final series of six concerts with orchestra in theaters between December 2024 and January 2025 (dates below) and with a live album that will be released on Friday 6 December. Titled Strings, brass and worries – Live, with orchestrawas recorded on 28 June 2024 in Lugo di Romagna with the La Corelli Orchestra conducted by Davide Rossi, who also took care of the arrangements of the pieces.
«With Antonio», Colapesce told us recently, «we are lucky enough to be great friends before being collaborators. We shared many days and nights. For me our most significant moment was the first Sanremo and not only for the success of Very light music. We were in the middle of the pandemic and playing in front of the balloons that replaced the audience confirmed an indelible bond. Even the tour of the following summer, which was among the few tours in the true sense of the word of a very painful season, with its many mandatory restrictions, with its many dramas and inconveniences. Even if it is a melancholy memory I will carry that memory with me forever. Antonio and I were really lucky.”
