After the news of Morgan's admission to restorative justice by the Court of Lecco, the singer-songwriter Angelica Schiatti entrusted her thoughts to an Instagram story: «Another six months in the freezer and it becomes five years without protection. Not five years to get a sentence (that maybe), five years to perhaps get to a first hearing. Five years, two indictments, a life compromised, years of discomfort, of swallowed toads, of misplaced trust, of trampled dignity, of fear and above all no protection other than my lucky star and the luck I have in having been able to overturn the my life, my habits. And who goes to the office every day taking the same route as they do? To those who declare themselves the innocent victim of a person “out of their minds”, “starfucker” and “in search of visibility” (just to mention some of the names reserved for me in recent days, not years) let's give them six months to try to have a reduction in sentence, because this is what it is about, certainly not about repentance or repentance. Just look at the last post. Leave me another six months in the freezer, whatever changes. Who will give me back these 5 years spent in these conditions? This is the treatment given in Italy to those who wait for justice in silence. But please, keep telling us “report women”, then inviting us to meet the person who hurt you the most.”
The post to which Angelica refers is the latest from Morgan who states «Journalists stop writing nonsense. I will not go to any anti-violence center because I am not violent and I have not done violence to anyone. I am an anti-violence center.”
The procedure granted to Morgan, complementary to the trial, provides for a meeting to resolve the conflict between Morgan and Schiatti, in the presence of a mediator, after an individual work process with specialists for Morgan. Decision that could lead to a reduction of the sentence in case of conviction. The request was made directly by the artist last September 13th.
