Singer and alligator tour guide first met back in 2019
Instead of just “Lust for Life,” it seems Lana Del Rey has found love for life with Jeremy Dufrene. Del Rey and the Louisiana-based airboat captain married in Des Allemandes, Louisiana, on Thursday, according to the Daily Mail. In photos obtained by the outlet, Del Rey can be seen wearing a white and being walked down the aisle by her father, Robert Grant, with a floral bouquet in hand.
Little is known about Dufrene other than that the 39-year-old is a captain for Arthur's Air Boat Tours, giving wildlife tours on the swamps and marshes just outside of New Orleans. Del Rey and Dufrene reportedly tied the knot at the public bayou where he works.
Rumors that Del Rey had found love with Dufrene began to swirl in August. Fans pieced together that the pair had met back in 2019 when Del Rey posted to Facebook album of her and her girlfriends taking one of Dufrene's tours. In May, she referred to Dufrene as “my guy” in an Instagram post.
The pair have been seen holding hands both backstage at Leeds Festival in the UK, where Del Rey headlined this summer, as well as at a wedding in New York.
Del Rey never officially announced an engagement. People confirmed that the couple had picked up a marriage license in Louisiana on September 23. Del Rey has had two previously confirmed engagements, first to musician Clayton Johnson in 2020 and later to music manager Evan Winiker.
