The death of Shifty Shellshock in June is also due to the use of Fentanyl. The Crazy Town singer is just the latest of the illustrious victims of the synthetic opioid with analgesic-narcotic properties after Prince, Tom Perry, Mac Miller and Lil Peep.
The revelation comes from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office, which released a statement yesterday revealing the cause of death of the rocker, real name Seth Brooks Binzer: he was killed by the combined effect of Fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine. The death, it says, was accidental. The full autopsy results will be released on October 11.
His spokesman Howie Hubberman had already said that it was an accidental overdose. “Seth had been struggling with substance abuse for a long time,” he said in June. “He was not happy, life was a daily struggle for him. It is unfortunate that so many people are lost to addiction and easy access to dangerous drugs and medications.”
Binzer himself has never hidden his addiction problems and has even appeared on television shows Celebrity Rehab And Sober House between 2008 and 2010. In an Instagram post in April, she wrote that she felt “more like a lover than a fighter… but the person I have to learn to love the most instead of fighting is myself.”
