The latest look into the highly anticipated second season of Wednesday has arrived. A behind-the-scenes video of the upcoming series features snippets of the wickedly delightful Addams family, friends, frenemies, and more.
The video opens with Luis Guzmán's Gomez Addams greeting viewers with an ominous, “Hello, my little storm cloud.” The scene quickly moves to Jenna Ortega in full Wednesday Addams and holding up a knife while offering, “Let's play dolls.”
Catherine Zeta-Jones, who takes on the role of Wednesday's mother Morticia Addams, promises that the upcoming season is “going to be bigger and more twisted than you can ever imagine.” And while only snippets of the new series are teased, including glimpses of Thing and Nevermore Academy, Ortega warns: “If we showed you any more, your eyes would bleed.”
In May, a teaser for season two saw Thing hauling a wheelbarrow of scripts and tossing them to the show's returning and new cast members. When reaching Wednesday herself, Ortega picks up the first chapter, titled “Here We Woe Again,” and remarks, “Hello, Thing. More torture awaits.”
The new installment will see Ortega, Zeta-Jones, Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo return, along with new series regulars Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor. Guest appearances are also featured for Thandiwe Newton, Joanna Lumley, Heather Matarazzo, and Haley Joel Osment. Christopher Lloyd, who played Fester Addams in the two early-Nineties Addams Family movies, will also be making a cameo.
