After Ac/Dc, Metallica also arrives in Italy to overheat with sound heavy this tail of spring. May 29th at the Ippodromo del galloppo in Milan, on the stage of iDays 2024, will be the only Italian date of the American metal band's tour. Last night in Munich, Germany, the start of the tour, which offered plausible clues about the lineup that will also be proposed in the Milan show. Metallica's set gets underway on the notes of “Whiplash” (the single that precedes the group's debut album, “Kill 'em all”, dated 1983) followed by “For Whom The Bell Tolls”. There should be 16 songs in total: there will be classics like “Nothing Else Matters” and “Master Of Puppets”, but also gems like “Of Wolf And Man”, performed for the first time. Also included are some tracks from the latest album by James Hetfield and co., “72 Seasons”, released last year (“Lux Æterna”, “Shadows Follow” and “Too Far Gone?”).
The concert is scheduled to start at 9pm, while the conclusion is expected around 11.15pm.

Below is a video of the performance of “Master Of Puppets” in the Munich show.
The American band's concert at I-Days will be an exclusive and immense concert that James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo will bring to a very limited number of European festivals next summer for their M72 Tour, accompanied by a spectacular stage in the wake than the one seen at the Power Trip in Indio, California last October and which left everyone speechless, and with the iconic “snake pit”. An unmissable opportunity for fans of the band to embark on a musical journey with immortal songs that have made the history of metal and music as well as the songs from the latest and twelfth album 72 Seasons released last April.
Metallica's European tour started on May 24th from Munich, where two concerts were scheduled. Milan is the third date of the tour which will then move north to Helsinki. At the end of 2023 Metallica played one last concert in their homeland, in Detroit (November 12), and then at the Soundstorm festival in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in December.
