A few hours before the final of Friends 23we met the winner, Sarah Toscanowho told us about the relationship with Lorella Cuccarinibut also of his journey within the school, of his first EP and of a special dream which, at least for the moment, remains closed in the drawer.
“Having won Amici means that there is a large portion of the public that has supported me and I am aware of this.” declared the young singer, just 18 years old.
Then, he added: “I entered school with really low self-esteem, whereas now it's decent. However, I remain with my feet on the ground. Of course, I'm more self-aware, but I'm also very self-critical. In fact, I tend to judge myself a lot, because I always want to give my best. Outside of here I will continue to study.”

About the bond with his teacher Lorella Cuccarini, Sarah instead he declared: “An incredible relationship was created with Lorella. I really see it as a point of reference. In recent months she has helped me in many moments.”
One of these? “The most important conversation I had with Lorella dates back to the afternoon. I came second and, when after the episode she called me into the lounge, I was very happy, because I thought she would compliment me. And instead she said to me: 'If you continue like this, I won't give you the evening shirt. You're too stuck on stage, you're tense, and it shows. I know that you can give more and you have to do it'“.
“From that moment” – explained the winner of the talent show, who dreams of being able to collaborate with Ultimo – “my evolution began, because I could do it and Lorella believed in me. Yesterday, seeing her so proud of me moved me, as well as filling me with joy“.
SARAH TOSCANO: from friends 23 to the first ep
Even before triumphing during the final of Friends 23, Sarah published his first and homonymous EP (Warner Music Italy), in which we find five unreleased songs and a cover, “Voila“, which the young singer chose to include on the album both because “it's a magical song, which has something special” that because the French language gives the songs a certain elegance.
