After the success of the first edition, New Scene – Rhythm + Flow Italia will return in 2025 on Netflix with its second season. The search for aspiring rappers, with a prize of 100 thousand euros up for grabs for the winner, began in the last few days with the opening of the casting calls: anyone who wants to apply can simply write to castingtv@fremantle.com.
The protagonists of the debut of the rap show, which saw Fabri Fibra, Geolier and Rose Villain on the jury (here is our cover story), left their mark: the unreleased songs from the first season of New Sceneincluding the original tracks of the top 5 ranked – Kid Lost, Jelecrois, Elmatadormc7, Spender and Grein – overall exceeded 537 million streams, considering all music and social platforms.
In particular, both songs by Elmatadormc7 – ranked third – have permanently reached the Top50 Italy on Spotify: the single EL MATADOR became gold yesterday, while MALICIOUS has surpassed 10 million streams on Spotify.
Excellent feedback also for the winner of the Kid Lost show, who exceeded 2 million streams on Spotify (and 8 million streams considering all social and musical platforms) with the two unreleased tracks CRIATUR And OXYMORON.
Last Friday it arrived on the platforms MVPthe EP by the Neapolitan Jelecrois, second place in the talent show: five tracks with which, after the singles Give Me And Money officially makes its entry into the Italian music scene and, we quote, “merging the artist's background as a dancer with her skills as a rapper”.
The jury of the second season of New Scene – Rhythm + Flow Italia will be announced in the coming weeks.
