Bresh, “Torcida”: meaning of the song
Written by Bresh together with Alessandro De Crescenzo And Zephwho also oversaw its production, “Torcida” tells – through the vortex of life experiences – the continuous search for the true meaning of the places where we live, but which we cannot savor as they are scenes from films we have already seen.
As for the title, Bresh borrows a term from the Latin American lexicon, which indicates the noise of football fans typical of the curves of South American stadiums: places that the singer-songwriter has explored in his latest travels, moving away from routine and from a time that runs too fast, to return in contact with himself and return to living every moment to the full.
It is no coincidence that the single opens with some melancholy verses in Brazilian, which anticipate the crescendo of the verse, in which Bresh realizes he's making the same mistakes as always. Specifically, the loved one is compared first to the enchanting mythological figure of Medusa and then to that of a mermaid: creatures with the ability to imprison their prey with illusions.
And so, just as the person he once loved always leads him back to a recurring vision, the place in which he has chosen to live leads him to feel perpetually dissatisfied, to continually want to escape, in search of real life.
