The last couple of years haven’t exactly been easy for Bugobut on the other hand not even for the vast majority of the world’s population.
There is no doubt that there was a before and after Covid and that the pandemic emergency has marked us, in one way or another. But among the headaches of Bugo in recent times there has not only been the impossibility of returning to performing on stage in front of a real audience, as before March 2020.
In recent times, and even stones know it by now, the artist has found himself against his will at the center of the much talked about Bugo-gate who saw him collide against morgan after Sanremo Music Festival 2020.
Well, now that the storm has officially passed, Bugo he wants more than ever to go back to normal, experimenting musically also exploiting that inner child he wanted to bring out on the occasion of the release of his new single, entitled precisely A child.

Bugo returns after two years of silence with the single un Bambino
After all that has happened and after almost two years of silence this piece is for Bugo a real outburst, intense and liberating. Speaking about the meaning of the song, the artist said:
This song comes from a feeling, an intuition that came one morning as soon as I woke up, like a flash. I felt the need to write it right away. That same day I went into the studio and we recorded it. It was immediate. After 3 years of chaos I had the need to get rid of so many burdens, to have fun…that’s it! My guitarist Marco suggested an image to me: being children again. It was perfect! Even if we become adults, the spirit of a child still lives within us. And that’s what saves us. We all need to contact him again in order to shout who we are to the world. “Un Bambino” is my invitation to jump, dance, sing the chorus all together, without thoughts!
A child it is an energetic, powerful, immediate piece that represents 100% the purest rock attitude of the singer-songwriter, without superstructures of any kind. The piece is structured starting from a harmonica loop and is built with a lightning mix of guitars, bass and drums as the key elements of a song born straight away and recorded live by Bugo and his band.
The bugo interview
A few days after the publication of the piece, the editorial staff of All Music Italia had the opportunity to interview the artist again, via Zoom. We talked with him about the meaning and genesis of the piece, about what it means to still be children, about parenthood and, ça va sans dire, also about the latest developments in his troubled relationship with morgan. Below is our interview.
