Music’s biggest night, the 2024 Grammy Awards, is still a few weeks away. But as awards season officially kicks off this Sunday with the 2024 Golden Globes, the best musical works in film and TV will be honored, too. Rounding out the stacked list of presenters for the Jan. 7 ceremony are Dua Lipa, Jon Batiste, Jared Leto, and Andra Day.
Among the musicians announced as presenters, Lipa is the only artist nominated at this year’s ceremony. The singer’s hedonistic Barbie anthem “Dance the Night” is up for Best Original Song. It’s one of three songs nominated from Greta Gerwig’s blockbuster film. Lipa created the record alongside producers and songwriters Mark Ronson, Andrew Wyatt, and Caroline Ailin.
Batiste was awarded his first Golden Globe for Best Original Score in 2021. The musician helmed the score for Disney’s Soul alongside Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. That same year, Day was nominated for Best Original Song for “Tigress & Tweed” from The United States vs. Billie Holiday. While that particular award was ultimately presented to Niccolò Agliardi, Laura Pausini, and Diane Warren, the actress took home the trophy for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for her portrayal of Billie Holiday in the film.
Meanwhile, Leto received his first Golden Globes nomination in 2014, when he won Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture for his role in Dallas Buyers Club. He was nominated for a second time in the same category in 2021 for his role in The Little Things.
Lipa, Batiste, Leto, and Day are the final presenters to be announced ahead of the 2024 ceremony. They join previously announced guests Amanda Seyfried, America Ferrera, Angela Bassett, Daniel Kaluuya, Florence Pugh, Gabriel Macht, George Lopez, Hailee Steinfeld, Issa Rae, Julia Garner, Justin Hartley, Michelle Yeoh, Oprah Winfrey, Patrick J. Adams, Shameik Moore, Simu Liu, and Will Ferrell.
The 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on Sunday, Jan. 7 at 8 p.m. EST.
