A profound mourning for Italian songwriting. He disappeared Sergio Secondiano Sacchihistoric artistic director of Club Tenco and one of the most important and visionary figures in the promotion of quality music in our country. The Club's Board of Directors made the announcement with an emotional note.
Sacchi was, as the Club remembers him, “the last of the Rambalderos still in the Tenco Club. That is, the last of those boys that Amilcare Rambaldi – the founder of the Club – had wanted alongside him from the beginning to give life to his creation”.

Within the association, Sergio Sacchi he has always represented the creative wing, promoting countless highly intelligent recording and editorial initiatives. Thanks to these, he was able to build a solid and precious network of friends and collaborators around the Club: songwriters, record producers, intellectuals and artists from every field, from painting to comics, as evidenced by his historic friendship with Sergio Staino.
His passion for songwriting did not stop at national borders: he founded the association in Barcelona “Things of Hamilcar”the Iberian branch of Tenco, creating a cultural bridge of fundamental importance.
The relaunch as Artistic Director
Became artistic director of Club Tenco in 2017, he was the main architect of the relaunch and renewal of the life of the Club. His was the idea, shared with the Board of Directors, of setting up the activities by working on projects and dedicating each edition of the Songwriting Review to a specific theme, using the song as a tool for analysis and cultural study.
The Board of Directors remembers him as “a darting intelligence, brilliant and, like all brilliant intelligences, marked by a streak of nice madness”. A portrait that perfectly describes the man who dedicated his life to defending and promoting the beauty and importance of songwriting.
