Giovanni Sarpietro debuts with Too romantican album that looks at the Italian songwriting tradition with an analogical and personal gaze. The single presents it The chocolate bomba song that tells the fragile and powerful beginning of a love story.
Umbrian-Sicilian singer-songwriter, violinist by training and with a path that crosses theatre, rock and electronics, Giovanni Sarpietro he arrives at this debut after an experimental phase that also took him to England with the electro-pop project In Wave. With Too romantic However, he chooses another direction: returning to the word, to the melody and to a more intimate writing.
The chocolate bomb: the meeting as a detonator
The chocolate bomb puts the idea of meeting at the center. An appointment, a kiss, a sip of wine and a shared dessert become the excuse to tell that suspended moment in which anything can still happen. An immature love, which can explode or remain unexpressed.
The ideal reference is to the songwriting tradition which has made meeting and relationship a founding theme. Here, however, the story remains everyday, almost minimal, with a sweet and slightly dreamlike atmosphere supported by a piano riff and strings that accompany the closing of the song.
The album was produced by Salvatore Addeo at the Aemme Recording Studios, maintaining a balance between immediacy and attention to detail.
