Luca Carboni, Parov Stelar And Meute are the new headliners who join the stars already announced in recent weeks – Gregory Porter, Diana Krall, Moby, Jamie Cullum, Joss Stone and Jean-Michel Jarre –to complete the programming of JAZZ OPEN Modena, there first Italian edition of the famous European festival JAZZ OPENborn 30 years ago in Stuttgart under the artistic direction of Jurgen Schlensog and since then a true global point of reference for great international music.
For this debut on the Peninsula, the festival always curated by the founder Jurgen Schlensog, will take place in the Emilian city from 13 to 18 Julymaintaining its traditional winning formula Jazz & Beyond spanning a wide range of genres, from classic jazz to the most contaminated, from pop to soul and rock, up to electronics.
Ben three places host the festivalstarting from the extraordinary scenery of Piazza Roma overlooked by the majestic Palazzo Ducale, now home to the Military Academy. Among the wonders of the historical and artistic heritage there will therefore be the main stage dedicated to the different musical genres proposed by the headliners, true icons of the contemporary artistic scene who will perform in front of a delimited and flexible parterre, so as to make the quality of the experience unique. If Piazza Roma will vibrate with the widest sounds, the Bulwark will instead host – again from 13 to 18 July – the more specifically jazz programming, with live performances by artists such as Emma Smith, Aaron Parks, Andrea Sabatino, Mammal Hands, Francesca Tandoi and Herve Samb & Band.
