There is a moment in which a story stops being “just” a page and becomes an image, a body, a voice. That's what's happening to Niccolo Agliardi: For a whilethe book published on October 24, 2019 and probably the most central of his human journey, becomes a film.

From book to film: why For a while it's a different story from the others
For Agliardi this is not an “extra” title in the bibliography. For a while enters a sensitive point in his life: theI trust. Over time, the artist has intertwined his daily life with that of two boys taken into foster care, who later became his children. It is from there that the need arises to talk about what it means to be “present” adults when on the other side there is someone who brings with them wounds, mistrust and differences.
The plot of the book starts from a question that is already a watershed: “What does it mean to be truly ready and present for another person, who brings with them wounds, mistrusts and differences?”
The novel follows Federicoeighteen years old, “with a destiny but not a destination“, And Nicholasin his early forties, single, trying to become that very destination. A path that passes through a suitability that arrived almost against all expectations, from the boy's entry into the house, from the daily mess (dishes, alarm clocks at dawn, anxieties) and from another multiplication, more difficult to name: that of laughter and a good that you didn't know who to give to.

In recent years Agliardi he has broadened his artistic center of gravity: less “frontal” presence as a singer-songwriter and author, more writing, narration and image work. The relationship with cinema and television, in reality, was not born today. The movie For a while: cast, preview and cinema release
For a while arrives in theaters on February 26, 2026. The film was previewed last year November 25th to Romein competition with RIFF (Rome Independent Film Festival).
The film is directed by Simone Valentiniwith Isnaba Na Monthce And Alessandro Tedeschi among the protagonists. The film is produced by Twister and distributed by Filmclub Distribution.
He himself officially announced the release date Agliardi on social media, with words that already seem like a declaration of intent for the film:

The next projects of Niccolo Agliardi
Agliardi and the world of music, this time in a television version, are about to meet again publicly. In fact, in recent days the singer-songwriter published a social appeal looking for young people for the audience of a new TV programme:
“For a new RAI format to be released on Raiplay next spring we are looking for boys and girls aged between 18 and 28, music lovers, available to participate as an active and speaking audience during a broadcast.
Participants will be personally involved by the hosts, artists and musicians in the studio, in a chat on the themes covered in the songs.”
