Meanwhile, in the homes of young rockers (but not only) the notes of a disc resonate, destined to become, in a few weeks, iconic. A sensational success. One of the best -selling albums of Italian discography, whose songs, over time, have all been single. I'm talking about Happy birthday ElvisOf Luciano Ligabue.

What this album was – It tells “The Liga” – I understood it perhaps better now than then. He was born in a moment my critic. My relationship with the band with which I made the first albums had ended, the previous album had not gone well, I was no longer with the manager of the beginning. I didn't know how things would go and I wasn't particularly well.

I realized that especially in this album I was very talking about what it meant to make music, live about music, share it, even get a little obsessed with it. Because it is said that “you don't have to look after the singer”, rather than “the strength of the gang”. To then notice with great tenderness, but also with joy, that I wanted to close the album with something that said “light the best dress on the head a little sun and a song in the mouth”.

Going back now this album also means making me surprise. An album, for me, is the photograph of the soul at that moment, it is how I see the world at that moment. Reviewing that world view in 1995 has moved so much tenderness to me. Because I owe a lot to that album. Going to see in the folds, resuming the pieces, gave me great emotional sensations.

After 30 years, on the day of the artist's 65th (I called the registry office this morning to say that there is an error, to check better – Irons Luciano, to reiterate how that number does not feel) journalists and lucky fans, all gathered at theApollo of via Borsi a Milanare ready for the Be bop in lula of the quarter of a centuryintrigued and waiting to know and listen to those songs in their second life.

It was a great artistic challenge to manage, today, to respect those songs and make them relive in a new version, which we immediately baptized acoustic, but which is something different, naked, or naked, stripped, brought back to the version closest to when they were written, that is, only with acoustic guitar, without bass and battery or electric guitars.
