23 6451 Of thasup It is officially the second Italian rap album to overcome the billion streams on Spotify Italy.
An extraordinary result for a project that has marked a turning point in the urban music of our country, giving voice to a new generation and introducing completely original language and sound. Before getting to the numbers we take a step back and retrace our career of Davide Mattei.
Who is Thasup?
Thasuppreviously known as Tha Supremeis the pseudonym of David Matteiborn in Fiumicino on March 17, 2001
His ascent begins in 2017 thanks to the production of the song Excuse me Of Psalm.
In the following years he affirmed himself as one of the most requested producers, collaborating with artists of the caliber of Gemitaiz & Madman, Fabri Fibra, Salmo, Sfera Ebbasta, Marracash, Lazza, Mahmood, Coez And many others. At the same time he begins to publish individuals in his own name, imposing a unique and cryptic style, between alphanumeric codes and suspended atmospheres between trap, electronics and psychedelic pop.
His first album, 23 6451comes out in November 2019, it is immediately a record case.
The second album Special characterreleased in 2022, confirms his talent also on the authorial level. On the disc find space featuring with Tiziano Ferro, Coez, Rkomi, Shiva, nuclear tactical penguins, rondodasosa And others.
In 2023 he released the joint album Gospel house together with Mara Satteia more introspective and spiritual work, dedicated to family and his faith. Thasup has in fact publicly defined himself in the evangelical Protestant, declaring that he also wants to transmit a message of personal salvation through music.
To date, the artist has 66 platinum records and 24 gold discs. His first disc collected 5 platinum records, the second four and the joint album with his sister a gold disc.

Released on November 15, 2019 for Epic Records/Sony Music, 23 6451 is the first official album of thasup. Already in the title, moved to Leet Speak as “the bases”, there is a declaration of intent: rewrite from scratch the sound vocabulary of the scene.
The disc contains twenty songs, between solo productions and collaborations with the main names of Italian rap: from Psalm to Fabri Fiber, Gemitaiz & Madman, Nitro, Dani Faiv, Marracash, Launch, Mahmood And Mara Sattei.
The themes addressed on the disc reflect the experience and the thoughts of a boy who feels alien in the world around him: incommunicability, family contrasts, the use of drugs, dysfunctional relationships. But everything is narrated with a new style, made of slang, vocal glitch and hypnotic sound settings.
The album debuts first in the standings, he totals over 13 million streams in the first 24 hours on Spotify And it is the most sold 12th album in Italy in 2019 and the third in 2020. Since 2019 the disc has never left the top 100 Fimi best -selling records in Italy.
A Record goal
With over a billion streams on Spotify Italy, 23 6451 He becomes the second Italian rap album to cross this goal, confirming his milestone status for national urban. To date, the only other disk rap to have passed this threshold is Sirio of Lazza who passed the finish line with the 17 tracks of the original tracklist to which the Sanremese hit were then added Ash and the 8 tracks of the acoustic version.
Lazza, it must be said, has also sold a lot in physical format and has in fact been certified with the diamond disc.
