After the extraordinary success of the last edition – which recorded the highest TV share since 2009 and with the hashtag #1M2024 achieved a social coverage of over 42 million unique contacts and 227 million impressions – the Rome May Day concert 2025 promoted by CGIL, CISL and UIL and organized by iCompanyand also the 1MNEXTthe contest dedicated to the search for new artists.
CONCERTONE MAY FIRST ROME 2025, 1MNEXT: ALL THE INFO
As per tradition, al Concert on May Day Rome 2025 will be joined 1MNEXTdedicated to all emerging artists. Last year he triumphed Lilysinger-songwriter from Turin, with the song Saint Rosalia (here is our interview).
Registrations to 1MNEXT 2025 are open from Tuesday 10 December 2024 and it will be possible to register until 16 February 2025. After various selection phases, the three winners will go on stage at Concertone of Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano in Rome and will have the opportunity to perform in front of the public.
Registration is completely free and can take place exclusively online through the website 1mnext.primomaggio.net. Artists of any age who perform works of any musical genre are admitted, but “cover” songs are not permitted.
The artistic direction of Concertone it will then judge the artists and by 11 March 2025 the 50 names who will access the next phase will be announced. Subsequently, from 11 to 31 March 2025 the online public will be able to express their preference by voting for their favorite artist on the site. Their vote will be added to that of a quality jury made up of professionals.
The final evaluation of the individual artist will be established by adding, as a weighted percentage, the web vote with that of the quality jury. The popular web jury will account for 25% of the final evaluation while the quality jury will have a weight of 75%. The final votes will then be published by 11 April 2025 and the names of at least 10 finalist artists who will be invited to perform live in the final phase of the contest will be announced.
In the final selection, only the quality jury will be called to choose the 3 winning artists of the 1MNEXT 2025 who will perform on the stage of Concert on May Day 2025. The overall winner of the contest will finally be proclaimed and awarded during the Concertone same.
