While we’ve been dying for an official song of the summer (and no, Charli, we can’t do Brat summer for the second year in a row), an unexpected K-pop group has emerged to finally break the drought, and with some new merch to boot — only thing is, they’re not even real idols.
The Sony Pictures Animation film KPop Demon Hunters released on Netflix on June 20 has quickly amassed viral success, partially off the sheer strength of a no-skip original soundtrack. Centering around Rumi (Arden Cho), Mira (May Hong), and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo) who form K-pop girl group Huntr/x by day, and work as demon slayers by night. While the girls use their voices to protect the world from soul-eating demons (including a seductive new demon boy band, led by the charismatic Jinu (Ahn Hyo-seop)), these two fictional groups have inadvertently been slaying the charts and spawning idol merch in real life, from group t-shirts to fake Huntr/x lightsticks.
At A Glance: The Best KPop Demon Hunters Merch for 2025
Huntr/x has quickly become the third most-streamed K-pop group in the world (beat out only by chart mainstays BTS and Stray Kids), with the film’s album landing as the highest-debuting soundtrack of 2025 on the Billboard 200 charts at No. 1, and the first to bow in the top ten this year. Directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans have frequently mentioned in interviews how the idols in KPop Demon Hunters took inspiration from the real-life K-pop groups — HUNTR/X was modeled after girl froups like Blackpink, Itzy, and Twice (three members of which, Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung, also sing the film’s main title song, “Takedown”), which the members of the demon boy band Saja Boys were inspired by groups like BTS, Stray Kids, and Bigbang.
It only makes sense then that Netflix would unveil a line of group merchandise after the animated film’s success, although it drew mixed reactions from Korean netizens who expressed disappointment in the styles and designs (comments on TheQoo labeled them “westernized” and “outdated” if they were aiming to represent merch similar to modern K-pop groups). On the other hand, Twice member Jeongyeon recently uploaded a selfie holding a plush of the blue tiger from the film affectionately named “Derpy” by the directors. So we’ve rounded up the best KPop Demon Hunters merch and gifts that will have you feeling hotter than the Saja Boys.

Kpop Demon Hunters (Original Soundtrack) (CD)
The Twice trio recorded their own version of Huntr/x’s original diss track “Takedown” for this film’s soundtrack, and the group’s own song “Strategy” is also included in the film and on the album. Even if you’ve just had the Saja Boy’s infectious “Soda Pop” stuck in your head for weeks (we don’t blame you, us too), then you’ll want to preorder the OST on Target now before it releases on August 8. The CD comes with a fold-out poster and photo card (random 1 of 3) like a real K-pop album.
